How to use your sewing machine

Join Sherlie for a one-off session on how to use a sewing machine.

In this class, you will:

• Learn how to set up a machine

• Service the machine, i.e. oil, and adjust for correct tension

• Learn to troubleshoot when the machine isn’t sewing correctly

• Learn some basic sewing skills, to make life easier when sewing your projects.

After completing this class, you are welcome to come along to the Fashion Upcycling workshops. Note - these classes are limited to 15 and mostly held the first Saturday of every month, as part of Skill Share Saturdays at the Planetary Health Centre.

• More basic sewing skills and techniques.
