We are a nature-connected venue in a parkland

If you’re looking for a venue for your next event, the Planetary Health Precinct and Parkland offers multiple indoor and outdoor venues that can be hired for conferences and events. 

Venue hire charges are listed here (see pages 25-26). All income generated from our events is used for the running and development of the Precinct.

Please note – our venue is in high demand for bookings, therefore in the event of high interest for a specific date, planetary health related events will be prioritised.

Gallery space for hire in Katoomba

Studio and Gallery

Surrounded by the artwork of our changing exhibitions, our Studio / Gallery is perfect for small to medium sized intimate events. The space has both male and female toilets. AV capabilities can be added to a booking, and catering options can be discussed.

Meeting room for hire in Katoomba

Meeting Room

The Meeting Room can host an array of events, from formal meetings and conference breakout sessions to interactive workshops and lectures. The room hire includes AV facilities, and catering options can be discussed with the team.

This room can be booked alongside the Lounge, for a larger, multi-space event.

Lounge

The lounge is perfect for hosting for a small gathering that includes refreshments as part of the event offering. You are more than welcome to run the bar set up yourself, allow guests to bring their own, or have our team run the refreshments service for you. A screen is included for videos and presentations. 

The Lounge can be booked alongside the Meeting room, for a larger, multi-space event.

BBQ Terrace

The BBQ terrace is the perfect outdoor space as an extension of an indoor event in one of our spaces, or as its own private and intimate outdoor event.

With plenty of outdoor furniture and umbrellas, as well as a large undercover area and a functioning BBQ for you to use, feel free to set up the space how you wish to suit your event.

Access to our toilets and indoor facilities included.

Gardens and Outdoor Events

The Planetary Health Precinct gardens are multi-purpose spaces for various outdoor activities. The gardens cover 26 hectares of sprawling green space adjacent to the National Park. All garden event bookings include use of the Centre’s toilet facilities, and catering can be done via our preferred suppliers or one of your choice.  

Planning for all weathers? Our 350 PAX marquee can be erected on various areas of the site to make your outdoor event more comfortable and weather-proof. 

A bespoke package can be created with our team once an enquiry form has been submitted. 

Full Venue Hire

Want to take over the entire Planetary Health Precinct and Gardens for your next event? Full venue hire includes all site facilities – the Conference room, Studio and Gallery, Lounge and Meeting room, the gardens, as well as our 350 PAX marquee if required.  

Catering can be managed via our preferred suppliers or one of your choice.  

A bespoke package can be created with our team once an enquiry form has been submitted.

Want to ensure your guests are well catered for? Our team will be happy to discuss an array of catering options to suit the needs of your event. 

From local food stalls, a barista coffee cart or a bespoke catering package to cover the full event, the Planetary Health Centre will be able to support you in your decision making.
